Commitment to research the situation:

As the project leaders, he has been in charge of more than 60 research programs from National Key Technology R&D Program, Special major basic research project, National Natural Science Foundation, Program of CAS, Ministry of Water Resources, ministry of communications, State Commission of Science and Technology for National Defense Industry, and so on. The research programs in recent years included:
(1) The Science and Technology Service Network Initiative, Chinese Academy of Sciences, “The distribution law, risk analysis and prevention experimental demonstration of mountain hazards along Sichuan-Tibet railway”.
(2) National Key Technology R&D Program in “Eleventh-Five Year Plan”, the research on risk assessment and emergency management of barrier lake.
(3) National Key Technology R&D Program in “Twelfth-Five Year Plan”, the ecological protection, key control techniques of reservoir sediment and technology demonstration in the cascade hydropower development zone of Jinsha River.
(4) General program from the National Natural Science Foundation, Research on the rule of souring and silting of the gully bed under the effect of viscous debris flow.
(5) The sub-subject of the National “973” program, the identification of potential secondary mountain hazards under the changed conditions of the formation environment after the Wenchuan earthquake.
(6) The sub-subject of the National Key Technology R&D Program in “Eleventh-Five Year Plan”, “The ecological prevention and the technological system of comprehensive mitigation of debris flow and landslide”.
(7) The sub-subject of the Project group of Knowledge Innovation Program of CAS, The identification and sensitivity analysis of potential mountain hazards.
(8) The major project of geologic hazard in the Wenchuan earthquake area from the government of Sichuan Province, the emergency mitigation project of Xiaogangjian debris flow in the Hanqin section of Mian-Mao road.
(9) Research program from China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co.Ltd, Research on the characteristics and mitigation measures of glacial debris flow along the Sichuan Tibet Railway.
